In a closely contested game it was Chipstead that emerged with the three points thanks to Allan Tait’s first half goal

Chipstaed created the first chance however Clayton’s free kick from 20 yards was deflected behind for a corner. Eacott’s goal kick was only half cleared to Remfry whose 25 yard shot flew narrowly past the post. Tyreke Leslie’s cross from the left found Ehis Izokun who played in Moses Ashikodi who shot wide. A Park break down the right saw Izokun’s cross claimed be Chipstead keeper pain with Leslie unmarked in front of goal. Charlie Alexiou made a last ditch tackle to deny Bademosi . The deadlock was broken in the 32nd minute when Tait got the wrong side of his marker and his shot was deflected past Eacott into the bottom corner.

Joel Thompson blocked a powerful shot on the edge of the Park area in the opening stages of the second half. Izokun’s cross from the right was deflected into the hands of Pain. Healy’ was brought down 20 yards form goal. Izokun’s free kick sailed over the Chipstead bar. Leslie cutting in from the left shot straight at Pain. A right wing cross found Bademosi in space however his shot hit the post and the ball ended up in the arms of Eacott. Giani Ashley’s cross from the right picked out Izokun whose header drifted inches past the post. Leslie’s long range effort was saved by Pain. For all of Park’s effort they were unable to grab an equalising goal as the visitors claimed the points.
