Tyreke Leslie picking the ball up in his own half burst forward down the left and cut inside and his curling right foot shot seemed to be heading for the bottom corner until Girling in the Chesunt goal pushed the ball away. Jay Bradley hit a 25 yard shot over the bar on the half hour as the game was evenly poised. Leslie hit another right foot shot narrowly wide of the far post before Eacott saved along range effort from Casey. Cheshunt broke the deadlock in the 38th minute as park gave the ball away on the left and a cross picked out Hallett in space whose shot found the bottom corner form 15 yards. Eacott was off his line quickly to deny the home side a second goals diving at the feet of Hallett. Cheshunt doubled their lead on the stroke of half time as indecision by from Darryl Harrison allowed Akinsanya to nick the ball way and the forward had a clear run on goal and shot past Eacott.

In the 65th minute after fine build up play Leslie’s 25 yard shot cannoned back off the bar. Cheshunt sealed victory in the 82nd minute when Hughes tapped home from close range after Symons shot came back off the post.
